Who We Are

Niños con Valor was founded in 2006 in response to the need to support vulnerable children in Cochabamba, Bolivia. In 2007, our US-registered charity was established to provide essential support and funds for the operations in Bolivia. Through this partnership, we offer loving residential homes, 24/7 care, education, and life skills to vulnerable children and youth.

Who We Support

The children in our care have faced significant challenges, including trauma, neglect, abuse, abandonment, or loss of their parents. Referred to us by child services, they find a stable, nurturing environment where they can heal, grow, and rebuild their futures.

We are one of the few organizations in Bolivia dedicated to welcoming children with complex health needs and disabilities. With over 50% of the children in our care living with these challenges, we ensure they receive the specialized support, resources, and opportunities essential for their growth and well-being.

Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to provide safe, family-style homes where every child experiences individualized care, access to education, medical support, and emotional healing.

We are inspired by the belief that each child is a unique creation of God—deeply loved and inherently valuable. Through our work, we aim to reflect God’s love by showing every child that they are cherished and valued just as they are.

By working closely with each child and, when possible, their families, we strive to break cycles of poverty and trauma. Our vision is a brighter future where children and youth grow into confident, empowered individuals who can embrace hope, healing, and opportunity.

The Need for Child Protection and Support

Children in Bolivia face severe challenges, with many exposed to neglect, abuse, and exploitation.

These traumatic experiences have a lasting impact on children’s physical, emotional, and social well-being. Without immediate intervention, cycles of violence and neglect can persist, affecting not only individual lives but entire communities for generations.

For families living in poverty, even with the best intentions, providing basic necessities like food, education, and medical care can be impossible. This often leaves them with no other choice but to seek alternative care, such as residential homes, to ensure their children’s safety and well-being.
