About the Program

Caminos Abiertos al Cambio (Open Roads to Change) is a pilot program launched in June 2017, to respond to the needs of adolescents living with serious emotional disorders. Designed by our Bolivian technical team in collaboration with a US board member, this is a separate space providing a strict routine, daily group and individual therapy, community service projects, and a physical exercise program, to teens whose actions have them heading down the road towards delinquency.

The teens pass through a three-phase process, which leads to reintegration back into CDP or PDC. It is the only program of its kind in Bolivia, and we are working with the courts to evaluate its progress and help other organizations implement similar programs nationwide.
