Who We Are

Niños con Valor was founded in 2006 to meet the urgent needs of vulnerable children in Cochabamba, Bolivia. In 2007, our U.S.-registered charity was established to provide vital support and funding for our programs on the ground in Bolivia.

Together, we provide safe, loving residential homes where children and youth receive 24/7 care, access to education, life skills training, and the support they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

Who We Support

The children in our care have faced significant challenges, including trauma, neglect, abuse, abandonment, or loss of their parents. Referred to us by child services, they find a stable, nurturing environment where they can heal, grow, and rebuild their futures.

We are one of the few organizations in Bolivia dedicated to welcoming children with complex health needs and disabilities. With over 50% of the children in our care living with these challenges, we ensure they receive the specialized support, resources, and opportunities essential for their growth and well-being.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to provide safe, family-style homes for Bolivian children, nurturing their growth through individualized care, quality education, medical support, emotional healing, and spiritual development.

We are inspired by the belief that each child is a unique creation of God—deeply loved and inherently valuable. Through our work, we aim to reflect God’s love by showing every child that they are cherished and valued just as they are.

By working closely with each child and, when possible, their families, we strive to break cycles of poverty and trauma. Our vision is a brighter future where children and youth grow into confident, empowered individuals who can embrace hope, healing, and opportunity.

The Need for Child Protection and Support

Children in Bolivia face severe challenges, with many exposed to neglect, abuse, and exploitation.

These traumatic experiences have a lasting impact on children’s physical, emotional, and social well-being. Without immediate intervention, cycles of violence and neglect can persist, affecting not only individual lives but entire communities for generations.

For families living in poverty, even with the best intentions, providing necessities such as food, education, and medical care can be an impossible task. This often leaves them with no other choice but to seek alternative care, such as residential homes, to ensure their children’s safety and well-being.
