Why Volunteer with Ninos con Valor?
Volunteering with Niños con Valor in Cochabamba, Bolivia, is a meaningful way to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and teens. Whether you’re assisting with daily tasks, providing academic support, or helping with communication and content gathering, your time and skills contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment.
What Do Volunteers Do?
- Assisting with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and organizing activities.
- Helping with homework, tutoring, and skill-building workshops.
- Engaging in playtime, arts, sports, and excursions with the children.
- Building meaningful relationships with kids and staff.
- Support gathering communication material and content for our support base including video production, social media content, and website updates.
Who Can Volunteer?
- Have a heart for working with children and youth.
- Are adaptable, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
- Speak at least basic Spanish (fluency is preferred for some roles).
- Are prepared to embrace a new culture and work in a team setting.

My time with NCV has changed my life. I realized that as a volunteer, while I was “helping”, I was actually receiving so much more. Love and hospitality from these kids and caregivers, when I started out not knowing the language and having no idea what to expect. I was welcomed with open arms and Bolivia has become my second home, NCV and my friends there have become my second family.
My time with NCV was a formative part of becoming an adult. Having been 18 at the time it truly broadened my perspective on life, enforced the values of empathy and understanding and fostered a deep love for helping and learning from others. Even now, almost 7 years later, I always look back on my time with NCV and how it has shaped me into the adult I am today.

Where do Volunteers Stay?
Volunteers have the option to stay in shared homestay accommodations arranged through NCV or find their own housing. We provide guidance on safe and affordable options to ensure a comfortable stay during your time in Bolivia.
What's the Commitment for Volunteering?
All volunteers commit to a minimum stay of six weeks to ensure consistency and meaningful engagement with the children and programs.

Come as a Team
Teams play an important role in our work as well, providing much needed support for larger one-time projects. We have had teams paint rooms, build a playground, organize and run events for the kids such as a week of VBS – the sky is the limit! We coordinate plans with the team leader, to ensure the best possible experience for your time here in Bolivia.
