Every Child Has a Story – Meet Some of Children who’s Lives were Transformed
Aydee's Story

Aydee joined Niños con Valor in April 2007 at age 11, alongside her younger sister, Lissed, who entered our care just four months earlier. Both girls came from a home where they faced neglect, malnutrition, and lacked the emotional and spiritual support they desperately needed. From her very first day, Aydee’s remarkable confidence and leadership quickly made her a key support to our caregivers and fellow residents.
In 2012, as Aydee and two other teens approached adulthood, we asked for her input to help create the “Sendero de Esperanza” teen transition program as some of our older youth were getting ready for life outside of our homes. This initiative provided an apartment where they could begin their transition to independence with our support and guidance.

After graduating high school, Aydee initially pursued Accounting but discovered her passion for International Trade during a life-changing 2016 trip to the U.S. where she traveled on behalf of NCV to visit our supporters, experiencing new places and opportunities that greatly expanded her horizons.
Throughout her studies, Aydee frequently substituted for our caregivers, connecting with our children in a unique way. Her journey led her to eventually apply with us to be a full-time caregiver for our youth home where her empathy and experience made her a perfect fit to support our current youth as they transition into adulthood.

Today, Aydee has recently started a family of her own welcoming a her newborn son and is working full-time as a caregiver at our Girls and Boys home. Her achievements highlight the profound impact of the support she received from NCV.

Why NCV?
At Niños con Valor, we support Bolivia’s vulnerable children (0-17) with care, stability, and opportunities, breaking cycles of poverty and empowering young lives.
Danitza’s Story
Danitza joined the NCV family in 2007 at just 6 years old, along with her three sisters, Darlin, Liz, and Nohemi. Coming from a challenging home with minimal parental support, they faced many obstacles, but Danitza’s determination never wavered.

Growing up at NCV, Danitza was supported through her primary and high school years. We celebrated significant milestones with her, including her quinceañera, and supported her transition into and out of our young adult program. She was always a dedicated and empathetic girl, balancing her studies and helping out around the home while also navigating the normal challenges of adolescence.
Danitza’s dream of working in the medical field was inspired by her early experiences, including the untreated mental health needs that led her and her siblings to NCV. Her hard work and passion led her to graduate as a nurse technician in 2023—a testament to her resilience and drive.

In a full-circle moment, Danitza applied this past year for a caregiver position at the very home where she grew up. After a fair and thorough process, she was hired and is now using her unique perspective and healthcare knowledge to make a profound impact on the children in our care.
Danitza’s journey is a powerful example of resilience and transformation.
